“Eid” means “celebration” and “mubarak” means “blessed”.

The saying can be translated as “have a blessed holiday”.

When is Eid?

The celebration of Eid al-Adha is about to begin – a holy time of sacrifice and generosity to friends, family and the needy.

Eid-al-Fitr followed a month of fasting for Ramadan in June.
