Muzaffar Ali’s Jaanisaar, which releases on 7th August, has generated such a huge craze among music lovers in the Indian film industry that, ever since the audio launch, the acclaimed filmmaker has received calls from many famous people in the industry to spare a CD for them.
Zee Music Co, who realised the potential for this once-in-a-lifetime soundtrack, were quick to seal the deal without delay or negotiation after just one hearing of the album, which features music by Shafqat Ali Khan and the director Muzaffar Ali himself. The lyrics are written by some of the best names in industry such as Wajid Ali Shah and Dr Rahi Masoom Reza. The songs and qawalis, rendered by Abida Parveen, Sukhvinder Singh and Shreya Ghosal, are a delight to the ears.
No wonder Zee Music Head Anurag Bedi says, “This is the first film we are holding the music rights for, for which we are getting so many requests from the film industry for the Music CD’s. This obviously speaks of how highly the music of Jaanisaar is amongst the literatti of Bollywood. Every request says ‘This should be one CD for keeps.’”Jaanisaar soundtrack proves a huge hit with Bollywood
