Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque named TripAdvisor’s second-favourite landmark

Abu Dhabi’s stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has come second in TripAdvisor’s 2016 list of the world’s top 25 landmarks, beating the likes of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the Taj Mahal in India.

The magnificent mosque – kept from the top spot by only Peru’s Machu Picchu – is able to accommodate more than 40,000 worshippers.

It is open to non-Muslims, is free to enter and complimentary guided tours are offered daily, except on Friday mornings.
