Maximize the Blessings of Ramadan’s Final Nights with These Powerful Duas
As the last ten nights of Ramadan approach, Muslims around the world intensify their prayers, seeking forgiveness, mercy, and salvation—especially on Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree. These sacred nights hold immense rewards, and making specific duas can bring Allah’s mercy and acceptance. Here are three essential supplications to recite during these precious nights and their significance.
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni
Meaning:
“O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.” (Tirmidhi)
Why is it important?
- Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recommended this specific dua for Laylatul Qadr, which is found in the last 10 nights of Ramadan.
- Laylatul Qadr is the most blessed night, worth more than 1,000 months of worship (Qur’an 97:3).
- Seeking Allah’s forgiveness on this night can erase all past sins.
Dua for Protection from Hellfire
اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْنِي مِنَ النَّارِ
Allahumma ajirni min al-naar
Meaning:
“O Allah, save me from the Fire (of Hell).”
Why is it important?
- The last 10 days of Ramadan are known for freedom from Hellfire (as per hadith in Ibn Khuzaymah).
- This short but powerful dua asks Allah for salvation from Hell, which should be our ultimate goal.
- The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever asks Allah for Jannah (Paradise) three times, Jannah will say: ‘O Allah, admit him to Paradise.’ And whoever seeks protection from Hellfire three times, Hell will say: ‘O Allah, save him from Hell.’” (Tirmidhi)
Dua for Acceptance of Worship
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ العَلِيمُ
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka Anta As-Sami’ul-‘Alim
Meaning:
“Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.” (Qur’an 2:127)
Why is it important?
- The last 10 nights are a time of intense worship, and we need Allah to accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds.
- This dua was made by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) when building the Ka’bah, showing its importance.
- Even after doing good deeds, we must remain humble and ask Allah for acceptance.
Final Tip
In these last precious nights, increase in:
✅ Dua – Ask Allah for anything you need.
✅ Istighfar – Seek forgiveness for past sins.
✅ Charity – Give in Sadaqah to maximise rewards.
✅ Qiyam (Night Prayers) – Pray extra Tahajjud & Taraweeh.
May Allah accept all your duas and grant you Laylatul Qadr’s blessings! 🤲💙
