Ramadan is a month of immense blessings, forgiveness, and spiritual growth. It is the perfect time to increase our supplications (duas) and strengthen our connection with Allah. Here are some essential duas to recite during this sacred month:
1. Dua for Beginning the Fast (Suhoor)
“Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri Ramadhan.”
Meaning: “I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.”
2. Dua for Breaking the Fast (Iftar)
“Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu wa ‘ala rizq-ika-aftartu.”
Meaning: “O Allah! I fasted for You, I believe in You, I put my trust in You, and with Your sustenance, I break my fast.”
3. Dua for Seeking Forgiveness
“Astaghfirullah wa atubu ilayh.”
Meaning: “I seek forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance.”
4. Dua for the Last 10 Nights (Laylatul Qadr)
“Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni.”
Meaning: “O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.”
5. Dua for Acceptance of Worship
“Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka Antas-Sami’ul-‘Aleem.”
Meaning: “Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” (Qur’an 2:127)
6. Dua for Jannah and Protection from Hellfire
“Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.”
Meaning: “Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Qur’an 2:201)
This Ramadan, let’s make a habit of reciting these duas with sincerity, hoping for Allah’s mercy, blessings, and guidance. May our prayers be accepted, and may we emerge from this holy month spiritually renewed. Ameen.
